Alice Kenyon, 82, of Brighton, Michigan, died on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Ashley Court of Brighton in Brighton, MI.
Alice Kenyon was born Alice Lenor Williamson, the daughter of Arnt & Alma (Welch) Williamson, on July 11, 1934 at Wyndmere, ND. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Milnor, ND and attended school there. She graduated from Milnor High School, Class of 1952.
She married Harold “Lee” Kenyon on July 19, 1952 at Lisbon, ND. Harold Arnt was born in 1953. They moved to Michigan in 1954. Terry Lee was born in Michigan in 1956. Valerie Ann was born in 1959. When Lee retired they moved to Apache Junction full time and lived summer months in Heber, AZ. Lee died Nov. 23, 2004. They were married for 52 ˝ years.
Alice enjoyed camping with her family, loved dancing with her husband and playing cards with friends.
She is survived by 3 children—Harold Kenyon of Brighton, MI;
Terry (Gail) Kenyon of Brighton, MI and
Valerie (Douglas) Bartrum of Fenton, MI.
8 Grandchildren—Cassandra (Tim) Huguelet, Shawn Kenyon, Jacqueline (Kesna) Chambers, Nichole (Curtis) Miller, Tobias Kenyon, Meghan Kenyon, James (Sarah) Bartrum & Aimee Bartrum.
1 Sister—Helen Dahle of Milbank, SD.
3 Sisters-in-law—Audrey (Leigh) Wood of Gilbert, AZ; Kathleen Scharff of Spokane, WA and Florence (Dennis) Holm of Huron, SD.
2 Brothers-in-law—Neil (Phyllis) Kenyon of South Lyon, MI and
Mike Kenyon of Lisbon, ND.
Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson—Christopher Lee Kenyon and brothers-in-law—Roscoe Dahle and John Scharff.
Memorials may be directed towards American Diabetes Assn., American Cancer Society, American Heart Assn., or donor’s choice.
Funeral Service were held on Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Wyndmere Lutheran Church at Wyndmere, North Dakota with Pastor Harvey Henderson, officiating. Cindy Anderson provided the music. The Pallbearers were Alice’s friends and relatives.
Burial was in the Gol Aal Lutheran Cemetery of rural Wyndmere. Funeral arrangements were with the Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush, MN.
